Second Man Killed At Don Jail

Police are investigating the death of another inmate at the Don Jail.
When officers arrived at the prison on Gerrard Street around 3:30pm Saturday, they found 24-year-old Kevon Phillip unconscious with obvious signs of trauma.
He was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital but later died.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
This is the second death at the prison since November when 32-year-old Jeffrey Munro was allegedly beaten to death by three other inmates.
The week Munro was killed, another 32-year-old inmate was severely beaten and hospitalized.
