Seven arrested in marijuana grow-op bust

Toronto police say seven people face drug, forgery and weapons charges following a raid on a west-end collision repair shop.

Police say an extensive fully operational soil based marijuana grow operation was found in the basement.

Police say a total of 1,326 marijuana plants in various stages of growth along with numerous drying plants were removed.

A quantity of both Canadian and American cash, forged credit cards, numerous blank credit cards and credit card stamping equipment were also seized.

Police say one man who was arrested was in possession of a fully loaded handgun along with a second magazine.

All of the suspects, who range in age from 23 to 53, are to appear in court on Saturday.
