Toronto’s temp soars to record-breaking 19 degrees

TORONTO, Ont. – Temperatures smashed a 24-year-old record, Friday.

In fact, at one point the Pearson International Airport weather station recorded a high of nearly 19 degrees. That is five degrees hotter than the previous record high of 14.2 degrees set in 1986.

On this same day last year Toronto’s high hovered around the four degree mark.

However, the milder temperatures are not here to stay. The weekend is expected to be a bit chilly, with a high of nine expected for Saturday and a high of seven predicted for Sunday.
