Peel officer charged with theft

A seven year veteran of the Peel Regional Police Force is facing criminal charges.

34 year old Constable Kyle Gatt was arrested Friday, and charged with theft over $5000, possession of stolen property and breach of trust.

The internal affairs bureau said the charges stem from his assignments with the street crime and gang unit.

He has since been suspended with pay.
