Chilly weather expected for Mother’s Day

Low temperatures and potential rain could hamper Mother’s Day plans.

If the plan was to go on a picnic or do something out-doorsey with mom today, you may want to re-think that.

680 News meteorologist Jill Taylor says its going to be a chilly day with a guaranteed high of 9 degrees.  Taylor also says there is even a chance of some rain or very light flurries, but nothing too major.

However, the sub-par weather does not mean there is not lots of different things you can do with your mom. There are special events planned all around the city including: High tea at the King Edward Hotel or Mothers day brunch at Casa Loma.  Mothers will even be the focus at the Metro Zoo.  Katie is a spokesperson for the Zoo, she told 680 news  “We have some special keepers talks that will focus on how much we love our mothers”
