Car makers bouncing back, signs show

There have been more signs the car makers are bouncing back.

Hyundai Canada said it recorded its second consecutive month of record sales in May, 12.6 per cent over the same month in 2009.

KIA announced an almost 14 per cent may sales increase compared to May last year.

Subaru Canada has announced a new record for May, over 25 per cent ahead of the same month a year ago.

And Chrysler Canada is celebrating a 53 per cent sales increase over May 2009.

Unfortunately, the same does not ring true for Toyota. Their sales are down 16 per cent from last May.
