$50-million up for grabs tonight

TORONTO, Ont. – The Lotto Max jackpot is at an estimated $50-million for tonight’s draw.
Thousands of people have lined up at lottery kiosks to snatch up tickets for the jackpot. But it isn’t only $50-million up for grabs, there will be five additional draws for $1-million each.
But with a high ratio of lottery winners going broke in a matter of years, CIBC’s Jamie Golombek said winners should take a vacation and think about what they really want.
“I would take that money and park it into something very short term, whether it’s 30, 60 or 90 days, so that it’s secure and you’re earning a little bit of money on that. Then what I would so is leave town. Go out and do some fun stuff … I’m calling it a cooling-off period,” he said.
Ticket sales close at 9 p.m. and the draw will be made at 10 p.m.
