Single Engine Plane Crashes In Orillia

Orillia OPP rushed to the scene of single engine plane crash on Tuesday night.  The aircraft went down in a vacant lot on Bluebird Street, off Airport Road in Ramara Township.  

A lone male, believed to be 61-years-old, was piloting the plane.  He has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.  

The plane hit hydro lines and came to rest on some trees in the vacant lot.  There were no injuries on the ground and no buildings were hit.

As a precaution Fire crews are on scene and Bluebird Street has been reduced to one lane.
