The Blackhawks won their first Stanley Cup since 1961, ending the longest active championship drought in the N-H-L.

The Flyers were seeking their first Cup victory since the second of consecutive titles in 1975.

Dustin Byfuglien, Patrick Sharp and Andrew Ladd also scored for Chicago.

Scott Hartnell scored twice while Danny Briere had Philadelphia’s other goal.

Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews won the Conn Smythe trophy as the Stanley Cup M-V-P.
