TORONTO – The father of missing teen Mariam Makniashvili was released once again from jail, Wednesday.
According to theStar.com, Vakhtang Makhniashvili’s wife paid her husband’s $2,000 bail.
He has now been placed under strict house arrest.
Vakhtang was arrested on May 7 for the alleged stabbing of a 26-year-old neighbour.
He has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, forcible entry and numerous counts of threatening bodily harm in connection to the incident.
He was re-arrested this week after the couple that posted the original $50,000 bond withdrew it.
Mariam, now 18, has been missing since September 2009, when she vanished from her Forest Hill high school
