Pope Benedict asks for forgiveness

Pope Benedict has asked for forgiveness from those that experienced abuse by Roman Catholic Clerics.
The Pope has also vowed that he will do anything in his power to ensure that molestation does not occur.
The Pope made the vow during a mass Friday commemorating “the year of the priest.”
The Pope did not outline specific actions that the church would take to combat abuse.
It was the first time that Pope Benedict had begged for forgiveness for the wrongdoings from St. Peter’s Square, the heart of the church itself.
