Shriners convention opens Sunday

TORONTO, Ont. – A much needed dose of cash will be injected into the city this weekend.

The Shriners Convention opens on Sunday in Toronto.

The Toronto Star reported that the meeting is expected to pump $4 million into the downtown core.

The Shriners have 350,000 thousand members worldwide, including 12 temples and 22,000 members in Canada.
