Weekend Road Closures

This weekend marks the 30th anniversary of Pride celebrations in Toronto and the massive party and some other weekend events mean several road closures will be in effect.

Here’s a look at what you can expect:

Friday – Monday

  • Church Street will be closed from Hayden Street (just south of Bloor) to Carlton starting at 6pm through to 7am Monday.
  • Wellesely Street will be closed from Yonge to Jarvis during the same period.
  • Queen’s Park Circle at Wellesley will also be closed.

Taste of Lawrence

  • Lawrence Avenue West from Birchmount to Warden closed at 3pm until Sunday night

Saturday

Pride & Remembrance Run, closures in effect between 8am and noon:

  • Wellesley Street, East of Church Street to Jarvis Street, full roadway,
  • Westbound on Wellesley Street, full roadway,
  • Northbound on Queen’s Park Crescent East, full roadway,
  • U-turn at Charles Street,
  • Southbound on Queen’s Park Crescent West, full roadway,
  • U-turn at College Street,
  • Two laps around Queen’s Park,
  • Eastbound on Wellesley Street

Dyke March, 2pm – 4pm

  • Starts at Church and Hayden Streets
  • North to Bloor
  • West on Bloor to Yonge
  • South of Yonge to Wood St.
  • East on Wood to Church

Corso Italia Festival, St. Clair Avenue

  • St. Clair Avenue West between Dufferin and Lansdowne closed until 11:59pm Sunday

Taste of Lawrence

  • Lawrence Avenue West from Birchmount to Warden closed until 11:59pm Sunday

Sunday

Pride Parade, 2pm

  • Starts at Church and Bloor
  • West on Bloor to Yonge
  • South on Yonge to Gerrard
  • East on Gerrard to Church

Corso Italia Festival, St. Clair Avenue

  • St. Clair Avenue West between Dufferin and Lansdowne closed

Taste of Lawrence

  • Lawrence Avenue West from Birchmount to Warden closed
