Netflix To Offer Video-On-Demand In Canada

Companies who offer video-on-demand in Canada will face stiff competition when the world’s largest movie subscription service enters the market this fall
California-based Netflix announced Monday it’s expanding into the country with an internet plan that will allow users to watch movies and TV shows on their television and computer screens for a monthly fee.
The company has not said how much it will charge, but its more than 13 million American members pay US$8.99 a month, with the added option of having DVDs delivered by mail.
Netflix will join Rogers Communications, Quebecor and other companies in the early stages of rolling out online programming services to Canadians.
