Many Shell stations in Calgary going dry

An unexpected demand for fuel this summer has left the pumps at many Shell Canada gas stations in Alberta high and dry.

“No gas” signs have popped up at many outlets in Calgary and Edmonton.

A Shell spokesman said the company is trucking in gasoline from the U.S. and Vancouver to meet the demand.

Most tanks should be refilled by the weekend.
