Suspect Arrested In Violent Home Invasion

One man has been arrested and police are looking for a second following a violent home invasion in Brampton.
The pair allegedly identified themselves as police officers before entering a home on Leone Lane on Tuesday morning. Three people were in the residence, located on an exclusive street near Castlemore Road and Goreway Drive, at the time
The assailants were allegedly both armed with handguns and a noxious substance believed to be bear spray.
But the residents put up a fight, with one of them receiving a gunshot wound for his troubles.
A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg, while a 71-year-old woman and a 16-year-old man received minor injuries.
Following the struggle, the suspects fled, with Peel Police and the K-9 unit hot on their heels.
One of the suspects was arrested hours later.
Ferdinand Khamidi, 29, of no fixed addressed, has been charged with:
- Robbery
- Administer Noxious Substance
- numerous firearms related offences
The second suspect is still outstanding. He is described as:
- black
- 6’
- thin
- He was last seen wearing a gray dress shirt and black dress pants.
