Ignatieff postpones Ontario tour

TORONTO, Ont. – Michael Ignatieff’s “liberal express” won’t be swinging through Northern Ontario this weekend.

The liberal leader has postponed his tour of the area in order to attend the funeral of his communications director, Mario Laguë, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in Ottawa, Thursday.

The detour means Ignatieff will also have to postpone his planned tour of the Yukon, which was scheduled for early next week.

Party officials said they hope to reschedule the northern visits for some time in September or October.
