Toronto police are investigating two separate shootings that left two men dead.
Police were first called to a highrise apartment building in Etobicoke around 9:30pm Saturday, where a young man in his 20s had been shot to death.
The body of the victim, identified as Byron Jones, 20 of Toronto was discovered when police arrived on scene of 57 Mabelle Ave, in the Dundas St. W. and Islington Ave.
There’s no word on suspects or a motive in this case. On Sunday, police were canvassing residents in the building for information.
Later on in the evening, paramedics were called to 375 Bleecker St., between St. James Ave. and Howard St., just before midnight.
They discovered a man in his 30s that had been shot in the torso. He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. He died in hospital Sunday morning.
