Two Dead In Separate Shootings, Photos Released

Toronto Police are investigating the deaths of two men in separate shootings.

Officers were called to a highrise apartment building near Islington and Dundas on Saturday night. They arrived at 57 Mabelle Ave. around 9:25pm on August 14.

There, they found Byron Jones, 20, in the south stairwell. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His death marks the city’s 35th homicide of the year.

Hours later, emergency crews arrived at a second crime scene near Parliament and Bloor.

Paramedics arrived at 375 Bleecker St. just before midnight.

They discovered a 29-year-old man who had been shot in the torso. He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. He died in hospital Sunday morning.

Nicholas Kenyon (pictured below) is the city’s 36th murder victim of the year.
