Office space growing outside of downtown core

TORONTO, Ont. – Morning traffic may cause just as many headaches heading out of the city as driving into it, as trends show office space outside Toronto’s core is receiving increased attention from both buyers and investors.

Commercial real estate company Evton Capital Partners recently conducted a study which found nearly half of all Torontonians would be likely to change where they work in order to lessen their daily commuting time.

“Three choices – Mississauga, Vaughan and Markham – [are] the top three areas outside the city centre,” Evton partner and co-founder Michael Bunston told 680News, saying those particular suburban regions continue to grow in popularity.

The trends show that those who live outside of the city are looking to work closer to home.
