Missing Macaw Recovered

An exotic bird, Tiffany the macaw has been recovered safe and sound after being missing for two days.

The 16-year-old was reported missing Wednesday night from her home in the the Ferris Rd. and Squires Ave. area.

The bird’s owner called police when she realized two men had taken Tiffany from a neighbourhood tree and drove away. The bird is worth around $5, 000.

The case received extensive media attention. Police say this caused the people who had taken Tiffany to contact police and surrender the bird.

Police haven’t laid any charges at this time, and continue to investigate.
