Man falls from balcony as Hamilton police arrive to investigate hit and run

HAMILTON, Ont. – The Ontario Special Investigations Unit is probing the death of a man who fell from an apartment balcony as Hamilton police arrived to investigate a hit and run.
The SIU says it happened as officers arrived at a tenth floor apartment on Tuesday evening.
Police had wanted to talk to the 65-year-old man about the motor vehicle collision.
The man’s name has not been released.
The SIU is an arm’s length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
