Extreme Heat Alert Ended

Toronto’s second heat wave of the summer is officially over.

On Friday Toronto Public Health ended the Extreme Heat alert issued earlier this week.

Heat, humidex and smog alerts were in place over the week and cooling centers were opened across the city. The smog warning ended Thursday.

The weather is expected to cool down significantly for the long weekend, with forecast high temperatures of 21 degrees Celcius and 20C for the unofficial end of summer.
