TORONTO, Ont. – A man is facing a string of charges after being involved in several collisions and refusing to stop for police, resulting in a dramatic takedown on Highway 401.
Police in Kitchener, Cambridge and Milton were the first to respond to reports of a black Chevrolet pick up being involved in several crashes.
An officer spotted the truck and attempted to pull the motorist over, but he continued speeding eastbound along the highway.
Officers said the vehicle was in several additional collisions before finally being cornered at a construction zone in Toronto, where the driver was forcefully removed from the truck and arrested.
Peter Bell, 28, of London, has been charged.
