OPP officer faces charges following assault

TORONTO, Ont. – An OPP officer is facing charges after a person under arrest at Woodbine Racetrack was assaulted.

Constable Tracey Smith has been charged with one count of assault.

She remains on duty but has been reassigned.

Smith is due to make a court appearance in Toronto on November 19.
