The debate, sponsored by Citytv, titled CityVote 2010, lasted an hour and a half and included time for Rob Ford, George Smitherman, Rocco Rossi and Joe Pantalone to address the issues as well as discuss each others platforms.

The candidates were also given the opportunity to answer questions posed to them from concerned citizens, on such issues as city violence and cycling, as well as some lighter topics such as favourite bands and foods.

The questions were asked by a group of panelists including 680News political affairs specialist John Stall and Newstalk 1010’s John Tory.

One question posed by Stall was addressed to Pantalone and Rossi and concerned when and if they will consider dropping out. Both answered they would not be considering it.

The candidates will next face off Thursday at a debate co-sponsored by 680News.
