One suspect in Central Tech shooting faces additional charges

TORONTO, Ont. – One of two teenagers arrested after a gunshot rang out inside Central Technical School is now facing additional weapons charges.

Two 17 year olds were charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence last Friday – a day after the gun was fired in one of the school stairwells.

One of them now faces an additional charge of attempting to obstruct justice, as well as eight weapons offences.

Police have yet to locate the third suspect or the gun used in the shooting.

Central Tech was in lockdown for several hours last Thursday, as police searched for the suspects and evidence inside the school.
