GENEVA – Opera singer Joan Sutherland has died at her home near Geneva at the age of 83.
The soprano was known world wide for the wide range of roles she played during her four decade career.
One of her signature arias was in the mad scene from “Lucia di Lammermoor”, performed in 1972.
