The Canadian dollar is trading above parity with U.S. dollar for first time since April.
The dollar traded as high as 19 one-hundredths of a cent above par on U.S. weakness on expectations of economic stimulus by the U.S. Federal Reserve.
The loonie rose 0.56 of a cent to 1.0008 cents US in the morning before the North American stock markets opened.
