Vision Vancouver selling bike lane shirts

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vision Vancouver is pedalling some new shirts in honour of the Hornby Bike Lane.

They read: “Bike lanes make me Hornby”. The cheeky shirts are 100 per cent organic and sell for about $15.

Vision’s executive director tells the Province newspaper the shirts are a way to ‘energize’ party members.

Meanwhile, Laura Jones with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business says it’s not so funny when you are worried about your business. She finds the shirts in poor taste.

“Bad manners. Business owners are incredibly worried about their businesses. When they see a t-shirt, what does that say to the business owners who have been supporting that street, and made that street what it is? Many of them have been there for decades.”
