New poll finds Ford in the lead in race for mayor
A new poll conducted by Ekos finds Rob Ford holding an eight-point advantage over George Smitherman in the race to become mayor of Toronto.
The survey of 507 Toronto residents was conducted between October 13 and 21.
The poll puts Ford at 44 per cent support, and Smitherman at 36 per cent.
Ekos says the results are not decisive enough to declare Mr. Ford a certain winner, but he is considerably more likely to emerge successfully over Mr. Smitherman on Monday.
