Kelsey Grammer ready to return to TV

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – He may have had a number of failed sitcoms, but actor Kelsey Grammer is ready to try once again.

Deadline.com reported that the actor is headed back to television screens in a new show, directed by Oscar nominated director Gus Van Sant.

The former star of Frasier is exchanging comedy for a tense political drama called Boss.

In the show, Grammer will play the mayor of Chicago, who has been diagnosed with a degenerative mental condition only he and his doctor know about.

The idea is said to be inspired by Shakespeare’s King Lear.
