Another possible candidate for Liberal leadership

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS1130) – The race to replace Gordon Campbell is getting a little more crowded.  It looks like another high-profile cabinet minister is ready to enter the BC Liberal leadership contest. Attorney General Mike de Jong says he will make an “important announcement” Wednesday morning at the Abbotsford airport.

A rep for de Jong will only tell News1130 “it will be a lot like the announcement George Abbott made last week and the one Kevin Falcon is expected to make tomorrow.”

So far, the only declared candidates in the race are Abbott and Vancouver MLA Moira Stilwell.  Former Deputy Premier Christy Clark is also considering a run at Gordon Campbell’s job.

News1130 will be there bringing you all the latest as details become available.

Education Minister changes

Meanwhile, Margaret MacDiarmid says she’s not worried about being re-appointed as Education Minister, despite a rocky relationship with the Vancouver School Board over the last year.
