TORONTO – Holiday shoppers will be able to check out how busy the malls and parking lots are before they head out, thanks to Twitter.
“Mall traffic reports” can be found at popular social networking wesite under the account name PayPalCA, and allows shoppers to share information about wait times, store lineups and available parking spaces at the shopping centers.
“For the times they do go to the mall, have it be a less painful experience for them, and we think that this traffic report is just a fun way to get people interacting and have them enjoy their experience at the mall,” said Nicky Mezo, head of marketing at PayPal Canada.
The goal of the new tool is to help consumers become less frustrated while shopping this season.
