Skype up and running after outage

Skype users can call their family and friends overseas once again, after the free Internet phone service was unavailable to millions of users on Wednesday.

Most of those people reported that they were able to connect to friends and family again on Thursday.

The outage had triggered fears that it might be unavailable during the holidays.

However, the company said it cannot predict when those users who remain disconnected will be able to get back online.
