What’s Open & Closed Over The Holidays

It’s back to the daily grind for some, while many others will enjoy a few extra days of holiday vacation thanks to the Christmas Day and Boxing Day statutory holidays being observed on Monday and Tuesday.
Here’s a look at some of the services that will be on hold for another few days:
Monday, Dec. 27
Transit:
–TTC running on holiday schedule, with subway and most surface routes commencing service at 6am.

-All government offices
-Most Banks
-Libraries
-Canada Post offices, no mail delivery
Tuesday, Dec. 28
Transit:
–TTC running with reduced peak period service.
-GO Transit will be operating on a Saturday schedule. Click here for more details.
What’s Closed?

-Most Banks
-Canada Post offices, no mail delivery
Wednesday, Dec. 29 & Thursday, Dec. 30
–TTC running with reduced peak period service.
-GO Transit running on regular schedule. Click here for more details.
Friday, Dec. 31
Transit:
–TTC running on reduced morning and afternoon peak period service. Most routes with late evening service will continue through to 4am.
Last Train Details:
1. Yonge-University-Spadina Subway leaves Union Station at 3:30 a.m. for Finch Station and at 3:34 a.m. for Downsview Station
2. Bloor-Danforth Subway leaves Bloor-Yonge Station at 3:37 a.m. for Kipling Station and at 3:37 a.m. for Kennedy Station;
3. Scarborough RT leaves Kennedy Station at 4:05 a.m. for McCowan Station.
4. Sheppard Subway leaves Sheppard-Yonge Station at 3:58 a.m. for Don Mills Station.
-GO Transit will be offering FREE service after 7pm. It will also be offering earlier afternoon rush trains and some extended late night service. Click here for more details.
New Year’s Day
–TTC will be running on Sunday service. Subways and most routes start at 9am.

-Most downtown Yonge retailers will be open. The Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area runs from Richmond St north to Grosvenor St and from Bay St to areas just east of Yonge St.
