One dead following shooting in Jane and St. Clair area

TORONTO, Ont. – A shooting at a west-end apartment on Christmas Day has left a man in his late teens dead.

The shooting happened just before 4:00 pm on Saturday afternoon at 200 Woolner Avenue in the St. Clair and Jane Street area.  

Paramedics found the man in the fourth floor hallway of the high-rise with two gunshot wounds to his head, and another to his arm.

Police say they are treating the case as a homicide investigation.

There is no word on suspects, and no weapon was found at the scene.

Several residents in the building reported hearing six to seven gunshots.

It’s not clear if the victim was a resident of the building.

He was pronounced dead in hospital.
