OTTAWA – Christmas may be over but Canadians are compiling a new wish list for the upcoming federal budget.
An Angus Reid-Toronto Star poll shows 28 per cent of us want Ottawa’s top priority to be balancing the budget.
23 per cent want them to focus on creating jobs.
21 per cent of us put health care funding at the top of the list.
The survey also found Ontario residents are more worried about jobs than erasing red ink.
The survey also has good news for Prime Minister Stephen Harper who gets 41 per cent support when it comes to economic policies versus only 23 per cent backing for Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff.
