Riders Forced To Contend With Another Weekend Subway Closure

TTC riders on the Yonge-University-Spadina line may have to find another way to get around this weekend.

Service from Wilson to Downsview station will be shut down from Saturday 6am until Monday at the same time for construction.

Crews will be working on the Spadina extension, which connects York University with the city of Vaughan.

To compensate, the TTC will be running shuttle buses between the stations. They will also have a Wheel-Trans vehicle on standby at Eglinton West station if it is needed.

This is the second weekend in a row riders have had to deal with a subway closure.

Last weekend, the Yonge subway line was closed between Bloor and Union stations to lay tracks for a crossover section at College.
