Crash closes Jane and Eglinton for several hours

A two-car collision has shut down the intersection of Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue.
Police say one vehicle was going north and another was going south when one of them went over the centre line.
The vehicles collided head-on, but it’s not known what caused the driver to cross the median.
The intersection is expected to remain closed for several hours as police investigate.
There are reports that up to three victims had been trapped in their vehicles. They have since been rushed to Sunnybrook Hospital.
Traffic was snarled for the investigation, with the 35 Jane bus diverting in both directions.
