Soggy weather to continue until weekend

TORONTO, Ont. – It’s a gloomy, water-logged city, and it’s going to stay that way until the weekend.

A special weather statement by Environment Canada warns of significant rainfall for Toronto and across the GTA.

“We received 15 millimetres of rain, another 15-20 millimetres possible tonight, on top of that, about five centimetres that some areas received of the snow, so it’s very, very slushy,” 680News meteorologist Jill Taylor said.

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority has issued a high water safety bulletin, warning you to stay away from rivers and streams.

Things should start to dry and clear up for the start of March break next week.
