89-year-old former lieutenant governor getting married

Former Lieutenant Governor Lincoln Alexander is getting married.

Alexander, who is 89, popped the question to Marni Beal after a-year-and-a-half courtship.    

They plan to marry this summer.     

Alexander was Canada’s first black MP and first black lieutenant governor.    

He served in Joe Clark’s cabinet.
