Moammar Gadhafi’s youngest son has been killed in a NATO air strike at his Tripoli home, a Libyan official said Saturday.
Gadhafi survived, but three of his grandchildren were killed and other friends and relatives were wounded.
Saif al-Arab Gadhafi, 29, was Gadhafi’s sixth son. Gadhafi and his wife were visiting at the time of the attack.
The dawn raid targeted the Civil Society Council building and destroyed an adjoining school for children with Downs Syndrome. An international coalition began carrying out strikes on forces loyal to Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi on March 19 under a United Nations Security Council mandate to protect Libyan civilians.
