Schwarzenegger kids post on Twitter, Shriver appears onstage with Oprah

Shortly after Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted he fathered a child with his family’s former housekeeper his estranged wife Maria Shriver appeared on stage with Oprah Winfrey and two of his kids posted messages about the revelation on Twitter.

On Tuesday, the 62-year-old Terminator star and former California governor admitted he had a child with another woman more than a decade ago — a week after he and Shriver publicly announced their separation. Hours later, Shriver, 55, released a statement.

“This is a painful and heartbreaking time. As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment,” she said.

Shriver spent Tuesday in Chicago with Winfrey, appearing in a taping of one of the final episodes of the “Oprah Winfrey Show” at the United Center.

The estranged couple’s two eldest children also posted messages on Twitter Tuesday.

“Some days you feel like s—, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit,” 17-year-old Patrick Schwarzenegger posted, quoting the Fort Minor’s heartbreak song “Where’d You Go.”
“Yet I love my family till death do us apart.”

His 21-year-old sister also posted later Tuesday.

“This is definitely not easy but I appreciate your love and support as i begin to heal and move forward in life,” Katherine Schwarzenegger said. “I will always love my family!”

The housekeeper has been identified by various tabloids as 50-year-old Mildred Patricia Baena, who recently retired after working for the family for more than two decades. Schwarzenegger said the boy was born more than 10 years ago – before his seven-year term in political office.

Schwarzenegger is set to start filming the dramatic movie “Cry Macho” in August. There’s also talk of producing two more installments of the “Terminator” series.
