One person has been killed and four others, including three children were injured in a head-on collision in Hamilton Sunday.
Hamilton mountain police tell CityNews that two cars collided head-on around 11:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, on Nebo Road and Twenty Road.
One vehicle was carrying four people. The driver of this car was killed, while his 10-year-old son and two of the boy’s friends were taken to McMaster Children’s Hospital, two by air ambulance.
“I went to the child, and he was really upset and scared, and I just held his head until one of the ambulance came and put a collar around his neck so he wouldn’t move…the children were really upset,” said area resident Jane Jones.
One of the children has since been released from hospital, while the other two are said to be in good condition.
The second vehicle had a single driver who was taken to Hamilton General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries
