Everybody aboard survives Caribbean Airlines plane crash in Guyana

An amazing story of survival from Guyana Saturday morning, where a Carribean Airlines plane carrying 157 passengers and six crew members crashed and broke in two, causing several injuries but no deaths.

Officials said the flight from New York overshot the 2,200-metre runway at Cheddi Jagan International Airport in rainy weather.

The plane narrowly missed a ravine that Guyana President Bharrat Jadgeo said could have resulted in dozens of fatalities.
