Certain seafood brands recalled due to botulism concerns

TORONTO, Ont. – A Toronto-based seafood company has voluntarily recalled dozens of its products because they may cause botulism.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Ocean Food Company have warned the public not to consume the affected products, which range from deep fried fish cakes to imitation crab and lobster meat.
An extensive list of fish products under the brand names “Ocean Food,” “Sea Deli” and “Sushi Deli” are recalled. They all have best before dates up to and including October 18:

The products were distributed in Ontario and Quebec.
Food contaminated with the Clostridium botulinum toxin may not look or smell spoiled, but may cause nausea, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, respiratory failure and other symptoms.
