Body found in rubble of Brantford house explosion

BRANTFORD – Police say a body has been found in the rubble of a home that was levelled by an explosion.

Police are trying to determine if the body is that of a woman who has not been seen since the blast Thursday afternoon on Ruffian Road.

The body was located in the basement of the home in almost a metre of water.

The scene is now under the control of Ontario’s coroner.

The Fire Marshall is still trying to determine the cause of the explosion.

The blast damaged about 30 neighbouring properties, six of them with serious damage.
