Potential jurors questioned in trial for Michael Jackson’s doctor

Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor and an attorney for Dr. Conrad Murray have begun to question jurors in a trial relating to the death of pop star Michael Jackson.

Jackson died on June 25, 2009, at his Los Angeles home after overdosing on propofol and two other sedatives – sedatives Murray allegedly gave him. Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

The number of prospective jurors dropped from 84 to 74 on Friday after 10 people were dismissed after stating they could no longer serve on the case.

A defence attorney for Murray asked those 74 potential jurors whether they thought Jackson was child-like and could not make decisions for himself. No one indicated they thought of Jackson in that way.

Murray could face four years in prison and loss of his medical license if convicted.

The trial continues.
