Police confirm shooting at Wilson subway station

Shots were fired at Wilson subway station on Friday night, police have confirmed with CityNews.

Police responded to a call for shots fired just before 9 p.m.

When they arrived at the station there was no sign of suspects, and no victims were found, but a subsequent investigation uncovered two shell casings.  One was found on the platform with another discovered on the stairs.

Police say two groups of men began arguing, sparking the brazen gunfire.  The suspects fled the scene.  Investigators believe there were five people involved.

Trains were temporarily bypassing Wilson station.  Full service has since resumed.
